FRUSTRATION!!!

Well, so much for swift justice. We went to court today and once again we sat around while the lawyer for the defendant tries to get the case dropped or reduced or anything to get his client off from being punished for killing my husband. It has been a year and 11 days since the young lady with three friends in her Dodge Durango failed to stop for a school bus unloading students and smashed into a Honda civic throwing it into my husband on his motorcycle and killing him almost instantly.
She was charged on Feb. 1st with criminally negligent homicide and ever since her arrest she and her parents have been doing everything possible to avoid accepting that she did something wrong. We have gone to court to at least once a month since March, only to have the case moved to the next month.
Today we were offered several choices as to how we can proceed and after much agonizing we chose to have a trial.
They want to have deferred prosecution, or no contest. With both, she will only be eligible for punishment til she is 18 , in June, 2008. Now we wait again as trial will be in either October or November.

Long day of taxes

Well, Yesterday was really an interesting day. I spent the better part of it doing my taxes. Yes, I know that I should have done them months ago but time just seemed to spill away. And for some reason every time you sit down at the computer when WoW is install you get pulled into it. Oh, It starts off innocently enough, "I'm going to check my stuff in the auction House or see if I won that auction," you think. Then someone in your guild or a friend says I need help to do BRD or to kill those guys in Arathi and off you go. 10 hours later you haven't done a thing you intended and now your getting aggro for your housemates and giving it to your self for blowing off the day. So that is why I finally did my taxes one the day before they were due. I'm going to use the names of my housemates Wow toons in the blog . Octuplets "Rants from us grannys"

As most of the world knows on 26 Jan 2009 a 33 year old women with 6 other children gave birth to 8 more. She now has 14 children all under the age of 8 and all by invitro. Here is a rant started by a friend from a newspaper article I think that some of the comments are really insightful as to the world she has brought these children into, Anne Kettenbrink: Be careful what you wish for Poor Nadya Suleman.
