A jumble of thoughts

Well, my daughter in Cali spent the last weekend in Seattle area looking for a place to live. It was for them very disappointing. They saw lots of nice homes but most would not take pets and were "a million miles" from his work in Kirkland. She also says that she now knows why Starbucks coffee took off so well in Washington state. Of the 5 days that they were there they saw the sun for about a total of 1 day. They never had any idea what time it was unless they looked at their watches. She thinks she'll never want to touch a cup of coffee again. I DOUBT THAT. She has been drinking the stuff since before she was born, if you know what I mean. Well, they are now having second thoughts about having expected the job off so her husband is going to have a meeting with his current supervisor to see what can be done. Now for a change of subject. I am totally frustrated with my character on WoW. I finally made it to 60 and can't seem to live long enough to get anywher...

FRUSTRATION!!!

Well, so much for swift justice. We went to court today and once again we sat around while the lawyer for the defendant tries to get the case dropped or reduced or anything to get his client off from being punished for killing my husband. It has been a year and 11 days since the young lady with three friends in her Dodge Durango failed to stop for a school bus unloading students and smashed into a Honda civic throwing it into my husband on his motorcycle and killing him almost instantly. She was charged on Feb. 1st with criminally negligent homicide and ever since her arrest she and her parents have been doing everything possible to avoid accepting that she did something wrong. We have gone to court to at least once a month since March, only to have the case moved to the next month. Today we were offered several choices as to how we can proceed and after much agonizing we chose to have a trial. They want to have deferred prosecution, or no contest. With both, she will only be elig...

Interesting to think about

I am a member of a WoW forum called the Gooch(yes I know what it means) and yesterday one of the members posted this film site and synopsis. Jesus Christ (Son of God and father of modern stand-up) returns to earth for His long-awaited comeback tour. He doesn't get past U.S. immigration: He's a bearded, Middle-Eastern guy, prepared to die as a religious martyr. He is immediately detained under the Patriot Act. http://www.chortle.co.uk/shows/edinburgh_fringe_festival_2006/j/14837/jesus:_the_guantanamo_years It is an Irish indie film that was shown at the Edinburgh Film Festival in 2006. I was thinking about the film's premise and it is true. If Jesus were to be around today he would have been branded a fanatic and if not already be incarcerated, he'd definitely be on every one's watch list. In fact if you think about it all of the "heroes" of the American revolution are considered Traitors by the British. We consider Crockett, Bowie a...

Summers end

Image
This will be a long recap of the events of summer, so if you don't have time or don't like to read leave now. May was not so busy as it was just full of the usual end of school stuff. Jagdish was looking forward to school ending soon and the kindergarten performance of "Nursery Rock". He was a number in 1,2 buckle my shoe. Lot of pressure there to hold it up at just the right time. I went to San Antonio to stay with my parents while mom had a hip replacement and so missed two weeks of WoW. When mom went to rehab I came home and stayed til the 15th of June. Jagdish does not like the water. We tried to go to the pool every evening and even his friends could not convince him that it is fun to swim and splash in the water. I guess Pallys are not water proof like Shammys. Things were going well and mom was to be released from rehab when she fell and 15 days later she had died of basically what I would call system failure. After her funeral, I came back home for the ...
