Summers end


This will be a long recap of the events of summer, so if you don't have time or don't like to read leave now.

May was not so busy as it was just full of the usual end of school stuff. Jagdish was looking forward to school ending soon and the kindergarten performance of "Nursery Rock".
He was a number in 1,2 buckle my shoe. Lot of pressure there to hold it up at just the right time.
I went to San Antonio to stay with my parents while mom had a hip replacement and so missed two weeks of WoW. When mom went to rehab I came home and stayed til the 15th of June.
Jagdish does not like the water. We tried to go to the pool every evening and even his friends could not convince him that it is fun to swim and splash in the water. I guess Pallys are not water proof like Shammys.

Things were going well and mom was to be released from rehab when she fell and 15 days later she had died of basically what I would call system failure. After her funeral, I came back home for the rest of July.

Dire decided that she was going to enter the cos contest at BlizzCon in Anaheim in August so we spent most of July making her look like Lady Sylvanas.(see pic). I played practically everyday but after missing almost three weeks of play time it is really hard to catch up and get motivated. This is especially true when all your co-players are now almost 65 and you are still trying to break 50.

Then I left for a month to care for my 92 year old dad. My sister and I split the cost of dial up and boy I had forgotten how slow it is. Even with their "accelerated" technology it was awful. I barely got thru checking my email in less than 45 minutes. Another month of WoW gone and now EVERYONE is 70 or really close to it so I feel like F88k-it and quitting.
But have no fear I am determined to get at least 1 of my players to 70 before Christmas.

Long day of taxes

Well, Yesterday was really an interesting day. I spent the better part of it doing my taxes. Yes, I know that I should have done them months ago but time just seemed to spill away. And for some reason every time you sit down at the computer when WoW is install you get pulled into it. Oh, It starts off innocently enough, "I'm going to check my stuff in the auction House or see if I won that auction," you think. Then someone in your guild or a friend says I need help to do BRD or to kill those guys in Arathi and off you go. 10 hours later you haven't done a thing you intended and now your getting aggro for your housemates and giving it to your self for blowing off the day. Octuplets "Rants from us grannys"

As most of the world knows on 26 Jan 2009 a 33 year old women with 6 other children gave birth to 8 more. She now has 14 children all under the age of 8 and all by invitro. Here is a rant started by a friend from a newspaper article I think that some of the comments are really insightful as to the world she has brought these children into, Anne Kettenbrink: Be careful what you wish for Poor Nadya Suleman. She has 14 kids, all younger than 8. Wow. Chances are, you’ve heard her story unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past week, but just in case you just crawled out from under a rock, I’ll rehash it.
